This lamp is part of the Altar object series, which aims to ritualize everyday objects. Its slender shape and soft light serve as a reminder of ritual objects found in various places of worship. Hillel is designed as an artifact that transcends its purely utilitarian purpose by infusing it with an occult aura.

This lamp is crafted through the reuse of metal elements from old ceiling fixtures. A perforated piece is assembled onto an anodized aluminum structure, giving it a sleek design. The lighting is provided by LEDs, whose brightness is attenuated by light filters that are also salvaged.

Hillel is produced in a limited series of forty pieces by our studio. The number of produced items is directly linked to the number of metal elements recovered from the construction site, in order to minimize the ecological impact of its production.
